25th Anniversary for the Turkish Association
The UED Summit – A Strategic Vision from Türkiye
This year marks a significant milestone for UED (The Association of International Educational Counselors) as they proudly celebrate the 25th anniversary of their association. This achievement represents not only the passage of time, but also a quarter-century of commitment, growth, and meaningful contribution to the field of education consultancy. In recognition of this important occasion, the President, Ms. Canan Severoğlu, kindly invites partners to save the date for this special event, which will be celebrated through a Summit bringing together UED members and key stakeholders.
The Summit will take place on October 8–10, 2026 at the JW Marriott Hotel in Ankara, the capital of Türkiye. In addition to commemorative sessions, the program will feature panel discussions with representatives from embassies, international non-governmental organizations (INGOs), and relevant councils, fostering dialogue and collaboration on key issues within the sector. The Summit will also include B2B meetings between participating institutions and UED member agencies, providing valuable opportunities for networking and partnership development.
This distinguished gathering will serve as an exceptional platform to reflect on UED’s journey, highlight its achievements, and share a forward-looking vision as they continue to shape the future together. Following the program, participants will visit Anıtkabir to pay tribute to Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of Türkiye, followed by organized excursions, combining cultural appreciation with learning and networking opportunities.
UED Academy
UED continues to strengthen the education consultancy profession through a range of initiatives designed to develop qualified human resources and support young professionals. The Education Consultant Training Program has been launched with this objective in mind. Designed and delivered by expert trainers, the program combines theoretical and practical components to equip participants with a comprehensive understanding of the profession’s fundamental dynamics. Beyond professional knowledge, it fosters ethical values, counseling skills, communication competencies, and sectoral awareness. Offered in collaboration with one of Türkiye’s largest and most established foundations, the program is entirely voluntary and designed specifically for university students and recent graduates. Successful participants of its training programs are matched with member agencies and relevant institutions on a complimentary basis to gain hands-on experience and facilitate their transition into employment. Simultaneously, in collaboration with the Community Volunteers Foundation (TOG), UED implements education modules using Non-Formal Education techniques, enabling youth to integrate their ideas and experiences in dynamic discussions. This approach not only enhances knowledge but also fosters personal growth, active engagement, and meaningful shifts in perspectives.
