London – 28th FELCA AGM

New perspectives
and a new member

The strength of the agencies lies in the National Associations. FELCA supports the formation of new associations and intensifies relations with the school associations united in GAELA.

As usual, all the national associations that are part of FELCA meet every year in London, the day before the official opening of Alphe UK, for the Federation’s Annual General Meeting. Again this year, for the 28th AGM, 22 presidents and representatives of national associations drew up FELCA’s action plan for the year 2026. Among the decisions taken during the meeting, chaired by Paolo Barilari, president of FELCA, and Scott Wade, coordinator of FELCA, were those to intensify and make structural FELCA’s relations with GAELA, the Global Alliance of Education and Language Associations. Thanks to its positive balance sheet, FELCA will in the near future support plans to develop the visibility and operations of the Federation for the benefit of the approximately 700 agencies that are members. Among the topics discussed during the AGM was the one raised by Alexandre Argenta and Maura Leao (BELTA Brazil) on the constant increase in direct sales by schools within various national markets, which is undermining the work of agencies. The AGM also saw the participation of a new FELCA member, AASAA, the Albanian Association of Study Abroad Agents, and the welcome presence of Alejandra Crespo representing the Colombian association ANEX.
