FDSV Students Protection Plan

Following a school closure due to insolvency, FDSV has activated its Student Protection Plan introduced during the pandemic and has placed all stranded students quickly and efficiently in other FDSV language schools. The FDSV is pleased to announce that, within a very short timeframe, a comprehensive and student-focused solution has been put in place for all affected CDC students under the FDSV Student Protection Plan. This rapid response demonstrates the strength of industry cooperation and provides reassurance to students, agents, and partners alike.

This initiative sends a clear and positive signal to the international language travel sector and may serve as a valuable blueprint for other markets. While school closures can occur, what truly matters is ensuring fair, transparent, and customer-oriented solutions for students.

Under the FDSV Student Protection Plan, all language students currently studying at CDC in Germany are offered the opportunity to transfer their booked language course free of charge to another FDSV member school for a period of up to six weeks. This provision applies to tuition only; accommodation is not included.

In addition, the FDSV has introduced a special course offer for students who are already booked but have not yet arrived in Germany. Course fees are set as follows:

  • EUR 100 for 20 lessons per week
  • EUR 125 for 24 lessons per week
  • EUR 150 for 30 lessons per week

Furthermore, all students under the age of 18 are eligible for a free transfer to another FDSV member school for up to six weeks of language tuition.

With these measures, the FDSV is sending a strong and positive message to the German language travel market, demonstrating responsibility, solidarity, and a clear commitment to student protection, despite the recent school closures.
